Thanks for visiting the new tahoeclarity.com! This website is devoted to images of Lake Tahoe's underwater world. Over the last two years, I've spent hundreds of hours swimming and wading at many locations around the lake to create the photography on this site. I will continue to update the galleries as new shots come in.
A little about who I am: My name is Dylan Silver. I'm a Tahoe-based writer and photographer. I regularly contribute to Tahoe Quarterly Magazine, Tahoe Magazine, Lake Tahoe Action, Outside Magazine and many other publications. I've been swimming around in Tahoe's blue waters since I was 9, when my family moved to Gardnerville, Nevada.
I love Lake Tahoe. The lake and the surrounding area have given me so many moments of joy. I'm pretty sure the beauty here is unrivaled anywhere else in the world. I wanted a way to capture and share what I was seeing while I enjoyed this special place. I realized there wasn't a place dedicated to my favorite aspect of Tahoe: the water itself.
I hope these images will reinforce the importance of keeping Lake Tahoe as pristine as possible. Without Tahoe's clarity, we do not have the singular destination so many know and love. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of all photo prints will go to the League to Save Lake Tahoe.
